Modern Wedding Inspiration at District Winery

Back when District Winery was first opening, we teamed up with Elise Kolle of Pinkboxe Weddings and Events for a wedding inspiration photoshoot, which sparked our love of this unique Washington, DC wedding venue.

Here is more from Elise and the inspiration behind the design of this shoot: “District Winery is DC's first urban winery located in the Navy Yard, a thriving community for young hip professionals. The panoramic waterfront views are the perfect backdrop for romance in this chic modern space.

Our goal was to highlight the stunning architecture and design of the space from the custom chandeliers, steel laded barrel room, and the extraordinary rooftop views, this one of a kind stunning space does not disappoint. The inspiration for the shoot came from the simplicity of the venue design complimented by sophisticated details.

We focused on bringing in pops of color through florals, mixed metal accents and geometric patterns, while keeping the natural beauty of the venue as the star of the show.

The attire chosen for the bride and groom was timeless and elegant much like the winery itself.

This shoot was all about urban romance in our nations capital.”
