Elegant Summer Wedding at The InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC: Jessica and Michael

Jessica and Michael planned an elegant summer wedding at The Wharf in Washington, DC. The modern feeling of The InterContinental at The Wharf set the stage for their romantic wedding day. After a first look with the bride and groom, we hit the streets for portraits around the hotel. I love finding some quiet moments amid the hustle and bustle of city life.

Working with a color palette of white and black with gold accents, modern elegant details abounded throughout the wedding spaces. A lush floral arch was the backdrop for Jessica and Michael to exchange vows. An incredible hanging floral chandelier was the showstopper of the reception ballroom space. A mix of roses and hydrangeas with greenery made up the mix of centerpieces to add warmth and dimension to the ballroom.
