Two Brides Summer Wedding at District Winery in Washington, DC: Amy and Alison

Amy and Alison planned a sweet, summertime wedding in Washington, DC at District Winery with a focus on family and personalized details. After getting ready at the nearby Thompson Hotel, Amy and Alison met at the waterfront for a first look and wedding portraits around the Wharf. A close friend acted as officiant for the rooftop terrace wedding ceremony that was decorated with lush florals and an abundance of greenery. A live painter was also present, creating a personalized wedding keepsake. I loved the modern, art deco-inspired square wedding cake that was a centerpiece of the wedding reception that featured simple but elegant decor with a blush and navy color palette with accents of gold. After an evening of dancing, the reception ended with a fun sparkler exit.
