Intimate Summer Wedding at District Winery in Washington, DC: Kaitlyn and Christian

Kaitlyn and Christian planned an intimate summer wedding in Washington, DC at District Winery. Their wedding day was a laidback and carefree celebration of their love with their closest family and friends in attendance. I love having the chance to photograph smaller weddings, as we are often afforded a bit more time to create some amazing portraits of the bride and groom. We started with a first look on the rooftop of the venue and then hit the streets for portraits in the surrounding neighborhood, including using a modern art installation as a fun backdrop. We were lucky with a beautiful sunny day for portraits near the waterfront after the wedding ceremony. The wedding reception was fulled with simple but elegant decor, perfect for a casual summer wedding day. Family style tables had muslin table runners, warm candlelight, and white florals in bud vases.
